
With the exception of the slide release and the matching slide release cut in the slide it also has 100% parts interchangeability with the Browning Hi Power (including the magazine). That's what got it the "M" for "Modositott" which just means "Modified". The First Generation P9M is a Pre-Mk II Hi Power clone, but with a revised slide stop design and larger three dot sights. The FEG P9 was a near perfect Pre-Mk II Hi Power clone and it has 100% parts interchangeability with the Browning Hi Power (including the magazine)

The second generation P9M used the S&W style barrel and like the 5906 lacked a frame cross bolt - but it is still a single action pistol just like the FEG P9 and FEG First Generation P9M.
